I recently had the opportunity to participate in Qantas Code-Share Hackathon 2016 and together with my team, worked on improving the in-airport experience for customers.
The idea was to give every customer a personal concierge that can help them with everything – from arrival at the airport to boarding the flight and everything in between.
To make this possible, we used beacons spread out throughout the airport. As customers enter the terminal, the beacons start interacting with the app on their device and guides them through to boarding the flight.
The original version developed during the hackathon is hosted on GitHub here along with the source code. The designs below are an improvement on the same.
